IM501 Agricultural Data and Information Management

DESCRIPTION

This unit focuses on data and information management in the context of agriculture. It considers the main steps involved in addressing organisational needs using commonly employed data management techniques. The unit covers data modelling, relational databases, SQL programming, data normalisation, entity relationship diagrams, data security, and data ethics. Students will have an opportunity to explore contemporary approaches to information and knowledge management in the context agriculture.
