Mr Patrick Goh has over 30 years experience as a lecturer at Griffiths University , Central Queensland University, and James Cook University (2006-current). Professionally, he has worked as a hotel manager in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii, before joining Singapore Airlines as a marketing executive, becoming its inaugural Head of Singapore Airlines' exclusive First and Business Class Frequent Flyers program (Priority Passenger Service) and the Head of Service Training. He and his family migrated to Australia in 1992.

Mr Goh has always maintained close ties with the business and wider communities. He was the Founder President of the Singapore Business Association of Queensland Inc. (SBAQI) in 1996, now renamed as the Singapore Business Group, which promotes business and economic ties between Queensland businesses and their Singapore and South-East Asian counterparts. He was a Board of Director of Rendezvous Hotels Australia which developed and managed a chain of hotels in Australia (1999 to 2013). He also worked as Executive Director (Marketing), Inn on the Park Management Group, Toowong, QLD (1997-1999). Mr Goh continues to support and provide consultancy to various business and community organisations in Australia and South-East Asia.
