Dr Salman Sarwar

Senior Lecturer

Dr Salman Sarwar is a Research Fellow in the School of Agriculture and Food Sustainability, University of Queensland (2020-current). He is an agribusiness professional with over 15 years of international experience in project management, business development, and stakeholder engagement. He is renowned as a visionary leader having worked in senior management positions with a proven track record of establishing effective strategic networks and collaborative relationships to implement projects to benefit agribusinesses and agricultural sector. This includes a current project funded by the Australian government on business sustainability and drought resilience themes under the Australian beef industry environmental performance project, as part of a consortium of University of Queensland, Meat and Livestock Australia and WWF Australia. 


Dr Sarwar is also experienced in working with international research and development bodies such as CABI and IWMI, on projects funded by multi-lateral organisations including the World Bank, USAID, JICA and ADB, covering various geographies including Australia, Pakistan, Turkey, Tajikistan, United Kingdom, Afghanistan, and The Netherlands.
