LW101 Law I

DESCRIPTION

This unit is designed to introduce students to the Australian legal framework. The unit examines a number of key legal issues that are central to business such as contract law, consumer law and tort law. The unit emphasises the links between legal principles and business activity. Students examine the elements of contract law, negligence and tort law and consumer protection law in some detail. The unit also introduces students to the law of agency and the law associated with partnerships and corporations.
