AC310 Accountancy Capstone I

DESCRIPTION

This unit aims to (i) integrate, consolidate and extend functional knowledge from previous courses in management, marketing, finance, human resource management and business operations; (ii) facilitate students in applying acquired knowledge to management problems which emanate from a firm’s internal and external environment; (iii) develop team-working skills in diverse and cross-functional situations; (iv) emphasise the importance of research to practical problem solving and decision-making, (v) improve written and communication skills; and (vi) highlight the importance of ethical principles and socially responsible management practices. Throughout this unit students will be required to apply theory and research to practice and so transition from the learning environment to the professional work environment. The learning activities for this unit include studying case studies, writing brief issue paper, project work in small groups, oral presentation, and project report.
